Fake Package Delivery Notifications

We attempted to deliver your package

One of the most common scams. You get a text or email claiming a delivery company (USPS, FedEx, DHL) tried to deliver a package. The link leads to a phishing page.

What to Watch For

  • Tracking link domain does not match the claimed carrier
  • Messages creating urgency about your package expiring soon
  • Request for "shipping fees" or "customs duties" to receive free packages
  • No tracking number, or tracking number is fake

Examples

""USPS: We were unable to deliver your package. Your address information may be incorrect. Please update your details at usps-delivery-tracking.com.""

Why it works: Mimics USPS branding and creates a sense of ownership — you're worried about a real package arriving soon.

What to Do

Check your packages through the carrier's official app or website directly. Never click links in delivery notifications unless you were expecting that exact package.
